Anders Fredriksson
Casita Verde Household Management & Maintenance
Born in Sweden, 1947, Anders was teaching for 25 years, mainly pupils aged 10-12 and students from the University of Lund, Sweden.
During 1979 - 1994 he was project leader for several projects aiming at developing the Swedish school system into an open system where the pupils were encouraged to cooperate and support each other instead of competing. The experience during this period convinced Anders that pupils are able to decide what they want to learn and that a climate of support and creativity is possible to create in a normal class room.
During 1980 - 1989 Anders wrote a number of school books for the Swedish school system, supporting teachers to develop an "open class room" where questions like: "How many answers can we create to this question?" instead of: "What is the answer to the question?", supporting a dialog instead of a teacher's monolog.
During 1989 - 1995 Anders had a series of metaphysical experiences that led him to begin a new part of his life. Together with his wife Tara whom he met in 1993, he travelled throughout Europe and USA leading seminars for personal development.
From 1998 - 2007 Anders lived in Hamburg and worked freelance in marketing publishing companies.
In October 2007 Ibiza was calling and a new creative challenge was waiting. After joining the Casita Verde team and participating in both the maintenance of the centre as well as many of the Greenheart projects, Anders feels that he has "arrived home" and that another way of living is possible. Anders, now that he has been joined by his wife Tara, has decided to proceed with the Greenheart project for the foreseeable future.
