Gereon Janzing

Gereon was born and grew up in Germany.

He worked in organic agriculture for several years.

He studied biology, ethnology (social/cultural anthropology) and geography in Freiburg, Germany, and wrote his thesis about livestock keeping in the Andes.

He worked as a volunteer for different nature protection groups, of which he led one as the coordinator for several years.

He herded goats and heifers and made cheese in Switzerland.

And he published several books on ethnological topics.

At Casita Verde he has been in charge of the garden and collected information about medicinal plants.
