Tara is Greenheart's Holistic cook, and here she tells us more...

Hi, I'm Tara and I came to Casita Verde on 22nd of March 2008. Anders, my husband had paved the way for me to join the crew, as he had already arrived three months earlier.

I was born in London in 1952, my mother was German and my father was born in London from Austrian parents. I spent my childhood moving around between London, Hamburg and a small village in Austria visiting 10 different schools in 3 countries!

In 1970 I went to Hamburg, absolved my training as a children's nurse and worked in the University Hospital until my first son was born in 1977. I became a mother of four great boys in my first marriage.

During 1977-91 my first husband and I were involved in the Steiner school movement and helped to set up two new kindergartens and two new schools. Already then I got involved in the school kitchen, cooking wholesome vegetarian food for the pupils and teachers.

In 1990 great changes happened in my life. I had a tremendous urge to go on a spiritual journey. I visited the Findhorn community in Scotland, I was initiated into Lacota Indian sweat lodges and met my spiritual teacher Rea Byers from the US who was living in Hamburg at the time. She was a medium giving channelled sessions to clients which I translated into German. During this process I found out many new things about myself, including my medial healing abilities. I felt very strongly that I had to be on my own for some time, so I decided to leave my family, which was an extremely difficult step to take.

In 1992 I started to facilitate personal growth seminars doing energy healing work with groups of people and single sessions. This work led me to Switzerland, England and Holland, and in 1993 I met my Husband Anders in the south of France, where we were both involved in an advanced training course.

In 1994 I moved to Sweden to be with Anders and to continue the seminar work together. We had many valuable and intense experiences during the next years, leaving our home in Sweden in 1995 to go on tour, staying in Denmark, the US, on Teneriffe and then settling down in Hamburg in 1998.

Anders and I spent ten years there doing "normal" work and reuniting with my children. I worked as a nurse taking care of patients in their own homes for four years and then I worked with mentaly and physically disabled children in their private homes for three years. I like to call these children and adults "special" because they really are and I have learnt so much from them! For another two years I worked in a workshop for "special"  people making jewelry with them and taking care of their needs.

In 2003 we met up with Dr.Robert O. Young (www.pHmiracleliving.com) from the US who shared his teachings about an alkalarian lifestyle with us. This new and very basic knowledge had a great impact on our lives. I learnt about the delicate pH balance in our bodies and how to maintain it through food and drink and what we think!
This opened up a whole new approach to health and well being. Dr. Young visited Germany twice and I had the pleasure of travelling with him and translating his lectures into German. When he left for home he gave me his power point presentation and asked me to continue his work in Germany. So I have been lecturing about healthy food and giving cooking classes ever since.

In 2007 when Anders felt the urge to change his so called "normal" life and move to a community on Ibiza, I had several months to decide whether I wanted to be a part of that new experiment. Ever since we met it was our desire to live in community with like minded people to create an energy field which could enhance everyone's growth process exponentially.
So here I am now in this beautiful place, an ecological educational centre which is also a small community. I am taking care of the kitchen together with Anders, doing the shopping and housekeeping and providing healthy vegetarian food for our crew and our many visitors on Sundays. I am planning to start alkalarian cooking classes very soon as I feel that this is a very important step for our inner ecology to develop, so that we can have a clear vision in creating the outer ecology that we want, to maintain a healthy environment for all human beings to grow in.

For me being a part of the Greenheart movement gives me the opportunity to share my life experience and my knowledge about the connection between the green chlorophyl of the plants and the healthy production of red blood cells in our bodies. So for me the Greenheart symbol states:

"I LOVE NATURE AND MY BODY"!
