Volunteering at Greenheart

The model eco-centre La Casita Verde is a place where volunteers come from many countries to work and learn. We have limited accommodation in the winter, and so choose our volunteers carefully.

Part-time Volunteers at La Casita Verde, Ibiza:

We need volunteers, preferably with cooking skills, to help on our 'Visitor's Day' on Sunday. 3-4 hours work, with lunch provided. Cooking takes place in our outdoor kitchen, and the afternoon is very enjoyable. If you are interested, contact Chris Dews.

We also need help with agricultural work, and for this we open the centre on Thursdays for people to come and work the land, learn and apply some rural skills and enjoy an energetic day. Work starts at 10am until 6pm. Delicious lunch provided. If you wish to attend, please contact us at least a day before.

WWOOF Volunteers

Since October 2003, the Greenheart organisation has hosted a growing number of volunteers from the International WWOOF Association based at Lewes in the south of England (www.wwoof.org).

Three years later, the model ecological centre Casita Verde has achieved a fantastic permanent resident team, and we therefore reserve our available accommodation for students from Earth University in Costa Rica, and other students coming to participate in specific eco-ability courses through the Center for Cultural Interchange.

We are therefore ending our WWOOF hosting relationship. However, wwoofers wishing to come to Ibiza may still contact us as we can sometimes help place them with other hosts which are associated with the Greenheart movement on the island.

Greenheart would like to thank all the wwoofers and other volunteers who have participated and continue to support the project. Together we have done wonders, and learnt so much in the process!
